What is the yellow flower is in The Welsh Quilting Company logo?
It is Anglesey’s county flower and its name is The Spotted Rock Rose or Tuberaria guttata if you prefer.
It flowers from late May to August and has blooms which are pale yellow with a dark crimson spot at the base of each petal. Its flowers are short-lived, with each bloom lasting for only one day. Occasionally its petal will drop off even before midday.
Although it is a rare species I am extremely lucky to have it growing on the cliffs near my home.
